#260312 What I did this summer . . .

Posted by ChadCox on 04 August 2019 - 04:13 PM

Felt sufficiently rested to finish editing the Acapulco photos!  Also needed a little time as I dumped my facebook friend, Elvira, who went down with me.  Turns out her 30 years in Oklahoma have given her a few nasty ideas about other races.  Ideas I definitely don't agree with.  Add the multitude of other selfish, rude, and bizarre acts (she washed her clothes in my toilet) and yes, you betcha - I got her keys to my apartment back.  Some people are sweet as candy on the outside, and maggotty on the inside.

I admire your kindness and willingness to learn and love how you present your findings. UGH. and WOW. :love3:

#260311 what song are you listening to right now?

Posted by ChadCox on 04 August 2019 - 04:10 PM

I should have included the tag on that video, just in case people didn't want to click, search, click.....

"Michael Andreas is the great-great-grandson of Franz Liszt."

Watch him play 'La Campanella' like a boss!

Oh yes! That certainly explains it. :love3:

Did anyone read about 19 year old daredevil, George King, who climbed London's Shard, the 95 storey building without safety ropes or other gear?

He certainly enjoys taking shirtless selfies  :rosslick:

Lurve how he balances with his pole in his hand. :love3:

I like to call it the church of rape, plunder, and pillage.  But the full name appears to be "The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven".   The older section is heavily tilted, probably not due to their past and current evil deeds, but more from having it built on a lake bed, and the occasional earthquake.  Or perhaps it is due to their past and current evil deeds.

I just love the architecture. The perpetuation of the scourge of religious abuse spilling into and supporting violent oppression throughout the ages definitely over-shadows any vestige of virginity that ever existed on the planet. :love3:

#260224 And how was your day???

Posted by ChadCox on 10 July 2019 - 07:51 PM

But of course, lol..... The office just called and have an opening tomorrow to yank the lask 2.  As long as  he gives me another script of pain pills I"m good!!  With any luck they can do the impression in 2 weeks.  I can't imagine the discomfort of same day denture procedures.  I had minimal bleeding after the 1st 6 were pulled.  Helps that I'm not on any blood thinners.  Thanks to Aldi I have meal shakes at a discount and they actually taste ok, lol....

Can you eat bananas? Even if you are self-conscious and so nibble only from the side? :love3:

#260223 Sad news

Posted by ChadCox on 10 July 2019 - 07:49 PM

What is fascinating to me about Ross Perot is that he built Electronic Data Systems from the ground up into a multi-million dollar company, then sold it to GM for several billion.  Started Perot Systems and built it into a multi-million dollar company.  Then sold it to AT&T for several billion.  He didn't need to do anything else; but he chose to attempt to serve his country as potential President.  He did make over the State of Texas's educational system, for good or bad.

He also will never be forgotten for his remarks about the giant sucking sound of jobs being sent out of our nation. He may have been wrong on several points about NAFTA, but certainly not the strong warning of the effect of losing jobs in the US. I guess my memory will be of how he was entertaining as the best third party presidential candidate since Teddy R. :love3:

ChadCox - The museum of anthropology is HUGE.  There are several galleries, for different locations in México, and they each have hundreds of items on display.  Then there's an upstairs that has more modern items, and the displays are more representations of daily life in that period.  I especially like the water feature - very unique!  Two restaurants on site, one sit-down and the other is more a café type place to pick up a sandwich and a coffee.  The photos are meant to give you an idea of what's there - the rest you'll see when you make the trip to visit in person!
