#260668 And how was your day???

I thought the same thing. :love3: Hope it distracted you a bit. All this medical care business IS intended for longevity right, and not just generating income? Hope it all works out and settles down soon! ♥

I'm seeing more of our health care system than I want to.  I'm stunned at the billing for non-insured procedures vs. what medical service providers are accepting as payment from insurance companies. In network re-imbursement is a fraction of retail billing.  My insurance and medicare paid out about $1500.00 for over $11000.00 in billing from the Backus Urgent Care Center and that was payment in full on my end.  A good example is paramedic intercept in rural ambulance areas.  Medicare won't even entertain talking about it.  Unless the paramedic service is willing to share with the emt/volunteer services that bill they are considered out of network.  The commercial ambulance company that responded with the paramedics is not in network with any insurance carrier but as there are no municipal paramedic or ambulance service in my brothers area options are limited.

So today was eye exam and new glasses ordered and tomorrow I go to have my head examined ( go ahead , feel free ) well actually to a neurologist for an EEG, where they put wires on my skull and measure the echo time, lol.......eye doctor was impressed she could get my vision to 20/20 considering age, retina damage, cataract etc.   This old age shit ain't for pussies.  I might have said that already but I don't remember........ :)

Oof, got 2 bills for ambulance and paramedics.   Quirk in the medicare rules may screw me out of about $1,200.00.  I guess if a volunteer ambulance service has to call in what called a paramedic intercept because they don't have a paramedic available the paramedics are not paid for if the volunteer ambulance service charges it's clients.  Anthem Mediblue is trying to come up with a billing code that can be accepted by Medicare.  Plus I have a $300.00 copay for ambulance anyhow..... .    Those bills damn near gave me a heart attack, lol........they will wipe out a big hunk of my emergency money so I'm looking for a part time job to supplement SS and replace the savings back to a six month level.....Hope to have the new choppers soon and then it's on to the eye exam and new glasses.......This shit wears you out, I didn't wanna be this busy and be retired, lol.......

I can't remember how I found Tyler's Room.  I remember the 1st site I visited regularly was Montreal Boy's LIve and one of the models there mentioned this site I think Pierre Fitch.  I joined in 2004 and over the years had a lot of chats here and there has been a few times I was upset when I upset our host with my abruptness but he has shown what a big person he is and I'm not just referring to his genital dimensions....... We had a lot of fun talks in the old chat room.... there were times 30 or 40 of us would be talking and sometimes some nice shows by members, lol...... I feel fortunate for the many conversations with Tyler and all the members here Happy Anniversary........

Sorry to hear about your ER event, Eddy.  Please take care of yourself and let us know the outcome of your upcoming tests.  :hugs:

Thanks Smoke!!! All the test came back pretty much normal with no trail to being unconscious.  I'm just so glad that Lilith didn't watch me spazzing out  until the ambulance got there, that's not what a 6 year old needs to see happen to her Uncle Eddy!!  Our little chats when she comes and "chills" with me as she puts it are the highlight of any day for sure!!!  Jessica gave me two new pics of Lilith, one wall and one wallet to remind me that I'm important to someone according to her, lol!! She made a get home kit of treats to sit next to me just in case I have a sugar issue (don't).  I was incoherent for about 30 minutes or so with no memory between my brothers couch and waking up in the ER.  All the test results are back from the spinal with no trail to follow there and the  MRI and CAT showed nothing unusual or causitive.  I'm gonna start checking in daily with Jess so she will worry less.  She wrote and left me a 2 page letter in script no less the day I came back home and left it next to me when she went to work at 4am in case I left before she could share what was on her mind.  I feel pretty lucky overall......   :)

Thanks guys...Catscan & mri were ok, sugar was good, bp was high normal, it was like I was in shutdown and reboot.  I see the neurologist Oct. 29. My gp put me on lisinopril 20mg once daily  for blood pressure. He doesn't see any immediate cause to panic but of course wants me not to drive until after the EEC. That ain't gonna happen.

So as I was watching TV at my brothers tuesday a.m....... Then I woke up in the Backus/Hartford Health Care ER/trauma in Plainfield, i.v.'s, monitors etc.......Seems my brother heard me cough across the l/r from me and when he looked I went into a seizure and then started spazzing.  Cat & MRI showed nothing when I came to in the er, sadly my favorite pipe and some weed were in my pocket and when they undressed me in the e/r (my bladder let go) handed it over to the security guard who came and told me how I wouldn't be getting it back but no possession charges would be levied. I only had a fingertip of bud in my case but I liked that pipe, damn.   Going to the neurologist in a little bit for an EEC, I think they called it.  I've had vertigo and vagus nerve issues but usually get a warning.  Back home safe & sound and we will see what happens.  Luckily my 6 year niece didn't see her Uncle Eddy spazzing out on the couch as her mom got me on my side and made sure I was breathing clear and steady until the American Legion Ambulance got there for transport to the ER.  Diagnosis is NAC (not a clue) as the 30 or so tests they did in the ER showed no definable cause.  Sugar was good etc....... When I saw my GP the following day he termed the event "interesting" but only prescribed a mild BP med as it was slightly elevated.  My niece Jess stayed with me throughout the ER visit and got me clean clothes etc.  No issue with dehydration as my urine output matched the IV (injection site still sore), no sign of a mini-or regular stroke but I was out cold until the ER, maybe 30 minutes.  That morning certainly was different from the "Groundhog Day" movie nature of retirement that's for sure.    :)

Their stuff was a staple at the Sunday Afternoon Tea Dance in the Hartford and New Haven bars and when I had the bar in North Haven the VP hits were guaranteed to get the big round table we called the Queens Corner on their feet and dancing.

DEFINITELY worth the wait to heal first before the molds. :love3: You need to flash a post of those babies later this year!

But of course, lol..... The office just called and have an opening tomorrow to yank the lask 2.  As long as  he gives me another script of pain pills I"m good!!  With any luck they can do the impression in 2 weeks.  I can't imagine the discomfort of same day denture procedures.  I had minimal bleeding after the 1st 6 were pulled.  Helps that I'm not on any blood thinners.  Thanks to Aldi I have meal shakes at a discount and they actually taste ok, lol....
