HAD to make sure everyone got to listen to this!!! Great vid...

A Pastor Asks A Politician Why He Supports Gay Marriage. It Seems He Wasn't Prepared For His Reply.

What do you do when you're a politician live on television and a pastor who is against marriage equality asks you why you support marriage rights for all? You take note from Australia's prime minister, Kevin Rudd, a devout Christian, and do exactly what he does in these amazing four minutes.

At 2:00, he sets a righteous trap, and by the end you'll be giving him a standing ovation.

my daughter is visiting from college and was browsing my Tylersroom Forum while I cook. She exclaimed, "this is SO gay." And I of course turned around to glare in her direction and she was already looking in my direction and without hesitation asserted, "I LOVE it!" My response was to simply turn back to my sink and murmur "nice save lass, nice save." Keep in mind we'd already established in previous conversation how she is far more gay than I, but I'm actively working to remedy that as best I can. :haha:

Pastol - here in Texas, Perry has simply denied state funds for the National Guard troops. They can still get their benefits if they apply at a Federal outpost. Granted, it's a cheap shot (NO, lets admit that Perry is playing to his Tea Party base in spades), but the guardsmen will still get their benefits, but only after jumping thru the conservatives hoops

Right, the headline is somewhat misleading.

The essential point of the story is that they (the state) will not process the applications even though they have been instructed to do so. What that means is that some people, such as the one cited in the story, are forced to drive 90 miles away for no reason. Other than the state's politicians homophobia.
