Many of you probably remember moondoggy that used to post here. I got an e-mail from Digby today saying that moondoggy passed away this morning. I don't have much in the way of details because Digby didn't know any. He got the e-mail from a friend of moondoggy's that he really doesn't know, and he said the friend was kinda mum on details, so he doesn't know much. He does know that moondoggy had cancer and was battling it for a while because the two of them had kept in touch, so we are assuming that the cancer played some kind of role in moondoggy's passing. If Digby gets any more news from the friend, I'm sure he will let me know and I will post it.

Rather than starting a new thread, I thought that I'd use this one as it seemed appropriate :(

Hollywood lost another of it's greats yesterday, Tony Curtis. I'll always remember him from "The Great Race" but he was also in "Sparticus" and "Some Like it Hot"

I too remember Honey West. Ann was a natural beauty.

We also lost Oscar nominated Pete Postlethwaite Sunday.

Britain's Press Association is reporting Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 that decorated film actor Pete Postlethwaite has died at the age of 64. It quotes longtime friend Andrew Richardson as saying Monday that Postlethwaite died in hospital in Shropshire, central England, after a long illness. Richardson said Postlethwaite died Sunday. He had been receiving treatment for cancer.

We've all seen him in what seems like a million movies. Most recently The Town and Inception. He started out and was formost known for his stage performances. I hear he did a mean King Lear. Shakespear was his passion.

His performance in the movie The Usual Suspects is one that I will always remember him most for. It was an excellent vehicle for his talent. A minor part that he made bigger than life in a wonderfully spooky way, as only he could do.
