(tumblr.com)I now feel sad when I see them because it reminds me of Steve Irwin's photographer friend's recounting of Steve's death. The crew, including the photographer, watched thinking they were about to get a really cool shot and when the ray unexpectedly turned, attacked and stabbed Steve many, many times very, very quickly, that was it. The photographer performed CPR for an hour as they made there way back and Steve initially thought he'd be okay despite his pain. They learned later his heart had been punctured too severely to survive. I love following the family he's left behind.
